Version 0.2.0: new game mechanics


Version 0.2.0 is now live! There have been a few big updates which make the game more interesting. You'll start to see them once you reach level 10.

  • Length extender for the water stream
    • Adds to the satisfaction!
  • More variation in the architecture of the levels
    • This is still pretty rudimentary but compared to 0.1.0 with its completely empty rooms, this makes a big difference.

And my favourite...

  • The fire demon!
    • Just when you thought that you had the fire contained, up comes a new antagonist. This little guy will stymie your best-laid plans; before long the whole room will be ablaze once again. Dowse him with your trusty Fire Hose before he drives you mad!

This update has added a lot more depth to the game; the main thing now that I'd like to achieve is to improve the performance when there is a lot of fire on the screen. If I can conquer that, then that will be a devlog all on its own.

Thank you everybody for the support and downloads. Due to feedback I'm also considering to add some bespoke puzzles into the room architecture, but that will take some planning.
